Welcome to Year 4

In Year 4 our children will enjoy an exciting year exploring. We engage in a broad and enriching curriculum and continue to develop the skills of mature and enthusiastic learners. 

In Science we begin to investigate sound, electricity and matter whilst continuing to improve our knowledge of the world around us. We continue to explore the history of the British Isles, comparing it with that of the wider world. Throughout Year 4 we study a wide range of vocabulary-rich texts to extend our own writing and reading skills, consolidating and building upon those learned in Year 3 and Key Stage 1. Similarly, we continue to develop our mathematical and problem solving abilities, also devoting time and effort into learning all times tables facts in preparation for the Multiplication Tables Check in the Summer Term.
