School Curriculum

Here at NVPS we place an emphasis on the teaching of reading (using a variety of reading schemes), writing and mathematics. Through the use of a creative curriculum other areas are taught that allow skills appropriate to the age range and have a history or geography bias.

Since September 2014, we have been using the new National Curriculum guidelines to support our planning. Occasionally, subjects such as music and PE are taught as discrete elements. A curricular newsletter is sent to all parents at the beginning of each term.
