The school is divided into two sessions:
Morning
8.50 am - 11.20 am 4+ (Foundation)
8.50 am - 12.00
noon Reception (Foundation) Key Stage 1
8.50 am - 12.00 noon Key
Stage 2
10.30 am - 10.45 am Morning break for Key
Stage 1 & 2
Foundation have a snack and circle time break during the morning
as necessary
Afternoon
1.00 pm - 3.15 pm Reception (Foundation) & Key
Stage 1
1.00 pm - 3.15 pm Key Stage 2
2.30 pm - 2.45 pm Afternoon break
for Foundation & KS1
only
Children are encouraged to be in school no more
than 10 minutes before the start of the school session. The school
cannot be held responsible if your child arrives before this time.
Gates are open at 8.40 am . A full and punctual
attendance ensures that children gain the most from their time at
school. Children assemble in the playground at the rear of the school.
The school adventure playground is not supervised
before or after school, therefore we take no responsibility for any
accidents that occur during this time. We encourage children not
to play on the equipment as smaller children who may be injured will
follow their lead.
The school bell will ring and all the children
will enter the school through the appropriate doors.
Children attend
school for a total of 190 days each year and there are five additional
teacher training days.
Foundation and Key Stage 1 children must
be met by an adult. If the usual known adult is unable to collect
a child please notify the school in advance.
Teaching Hours
Total time in school for 4+ children is 15 hours
50 minutes of which teaching time total is 15 hours 30 minutes.
Total time in school for Reception, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
children is 27 hrs and 5 minutes. Teaching time totals for Reception
and Key stage 1 are 21 hrs 75 minutes and for Key stage 2 the total
is 23 hours and 25 minutes.
The remaining time is spent on registration, playtimes and collective
worship.
